     When you say, "...I sent the link to give it some
substance...", that's what I was asking for by the
above.  I wasn't necessarily saying you weren't
providing substance, but I guess the thread was
heading into a "religion/politics/'my opinion rules'
direction, and as you, I was believing the initial
post by gav was trying to discuss a NEW discovery. 
And then it got mumbo-jumboed into a I don't know
what, which is fine if that was the intent, and if it
was the intent, I didn't catch it that way and
apologize.
     I'm with you Michael.  I know what your talking
about from the book you evidence.  mDNA has only
suggested the timeline and geographic migrations that
you describe from the book you offered.  I have no
idea where gav got that 400,000 year number, but it
seemed to make all his dreams come true - no pun
intended.
