I'm confused - dents occur on two dimensional flat surfaces. Is
space-time a
two dimensional flat surface?

It is also interesting to note that two-dimensional surfaces are
strictly conceptual. Dents require 3 dimensions.
 I concede that "dents" do not cover it well either but come
Close to what we can conceive of in our own experience, the idea that
matter
Or dense static patterns condense space( loose static patterns) relative
to it, is a rather difficult concept to visualize and comprehend.
