Can you cite a form of knowledge not based on an assumption?

When you said, "Every form of knowledge rests on assumptions", is 
that bit of knowledge based on an assumption as well?  If it too is 
based on an assumption, then it might not always be true, no?

This is just a restatement of "all this is just an analogy, including 
this sentence." It is the paradox you jump on quick with others, but 
seem not to see it here.

The statement "every form of knowledge rests on assumptions" must 
itself rest on certain assumptions.  To be precise, you should say, 
"according to my assumptions, every form of knowledge rests on assumptions".

That would be correct.
