You have really mistaken my values & my reasons for them.
The fact that this kind of government control is democratic
doesn't make it any more acceptable to me.
Perhaps you need to see that a voluntary system isn't that bad if 
works the way it is supposed to.  (I know you saw that coming.)

You know any system that works the way it is supposed to isn't half bad. The
problem is that few systems do. The idea that society can function with out
infringing on individual choice either overtly or covertly seems no less
fanciful that utopian fantasies.
