Thanks for sharing that.

Two things to add to that.

Jarred Diamonds had a book called, 'Guns germs and steel" from which
national Geographic did a 2 hour video. One of the premises has to do
with why some civilizations prosper and others don't. One of the main
factors, is that those who lived in a climate that allowed for food
production and STORAGE, fared better than those who had to fetch their
food daily.
Farmers vs gatherers and hunters. if you live in a tropical climate,
storing food is out of the question.

The other is Language.

I know that sometimes while we are discussing issues, we have to go back
and clarify things because each of us tend to have a different bias
toward certain words.
Another factor is sometimes we don't have the right words.
Pirsig gives the example of certain culture that uses the same term to
describe the colors green and yellow.
