SA:  And this is the way I reason and draw patterns as
follows:

Marsha:

SA:  I take the "I look... to see..." and instantly a
pattern develops from this to as follows:

Marsha:
> And it seems it will make no difference if I know
the Heart Sutra or
> the Heart Sutra knows me.  

SA:  "...the Heart Sutra knows me."  
        You look for the eagle.  A pattern was setup. 
One in which you walk in your seeing, looking for the
"eagle".  This walk, this path your upon, is
established by a pattern that was setup.  As you look
for this eagle, set upon this pattern, something
involved in this pattern knows you.  As it makes no
difference, "no difference", if "...the Heart Sutra
knows (you)", or me, for the value in the Heart Sutra
that sets the pattern in which you like or find
fitting to who you are in the reading, this is also
how the pattern in looking for the eagle is something
found fit to who you are.  In the looking, in the
pattern of the eagle knowing you, yes, the eagle
knowing you, in other words, the eagle offers
something to you as "...the Heart Sutra knows (you)". 
This is how certain connections feel, intuit,
something extending beyond us, but still us.  Does the
Heart Sutra know somebody?  Does the eagle know
somebody?  If they do, then we keep coming back for
they are offering something of ourselves that we
connect with, and find we knew what they offer all
along.
