It is Scrooge to the Nth degree.

SA:  This fits in with Platt's use of an economic view
as the reality static view as to how life is supposed
to work.  Scrooge focused on money during Christmas,
meanwhile, the rest of his family focused on family,
love, kindness, and togetherness during the holiday. 
Economics is this money counter view of life, which is
odd that Platt would accept such a view for this kind
of economic view of life is the same SOM scientific
view that he abhors, stale and lacking human value.
