As you know I'm sure, Pirsig disagrees. "Second, there were moral codes that
established the supremacy of the social order over biological
life-conventional
morals -proscriptions against drugs, murder, adultery, theft and the like."
(Lila, 13) Given a choice of you or Pirsig in this matter, I'll go with
Pirsig.

Every last one of those moral proscriptions applies to individual behavior
that threatens other group members. It is conflict over access to
biologically nurturing Qualities not conflict between biology and society.
