Explain to me the difference (conceptually) between "2" and "two".

[Craig]
None. The former is a numeral (common to many arithmetical systems);the latter
a word in English.

[Arlo]
What's the difference between a "numeral" and a "word"? All words have
definitions, as do numerals. All words are "symbols" for the concept they
represent, as are numerals.

I read your link, but it does not apply here. I am not arguing that we don't
call this symbol "2" a number and this symbol "two" a textual word, but they
are identical in needing language to explain/make sense of them.
