I like the SNG concept of the character of "Q". If one were to fall
out of time/space in the essentialist sense of those terms as being
separate and distinct, that would in essence make one God, would it not?

Good call there. Q does seem to have the God perspective down, including the
boredom. Seems I recall an episode when he was complaining to other members
of the Q continuum about having spent 10,000 years as a hounddog under the
porch. They just looked disdainful and said, "We've all been the dog." I
could see Q playing the Lila game for sure.
