Marsha:
Not lately, but there have been plenty of red-tailed hawk about. I
was told the bald eagle is off the endangered list. Does that mean
it's okay to have eagle feathers again?
Ron:
I guess so, feathers are very difficult to find and are of religious
significance, I think natives shoo off the collection of them based
on that reason alone. Besides, tell most it's o.k. to collect them
and they think it's o.k. to shoot them and strip them.
Marsha:
The other morning I left early to watch my grandson, and the fox was
out when I left. He sat about 30 feet away. I stopped and had a
chat with her. It's quite thrilling to be talking to a fox. She
stayed seated in the middle of the road, so I guess I didn't frighten
her.
Ron:
I had one courting my cat, when I first saw the fox moving in on her
I had my sights on his forehead.. but after awhile I noticed that
meowie (kids name) did not seem to be overly concerned with it's
presence...
like with my wife, I allow her to make the decisions in these matters.
yesterday I spoke to a few youngling house wrens I surprised at the back
door, they all paniced and were flying into the windows to escape
I could almost here their mother yelling " no you idiots the other way!"
I backed off and let her corral them up. They were terrible flyers.
