Did you go to Blue mountain HS?  Wrestled them in High school, used to go up to
Pottsville quite a bit.

No, Schuylkill Haven has its own school, albeit smaller than Blue Mountain and
Pottsville. But, we lie almost mid-point between them (about a 5-10 minute
drive to both). Yeah, the Maroons are a source of contention and pride for many
back home, I think because it represents a "heyday" for Pottsville that it has
long lost. If you read John O'Hara's novels (Butterfield 8, Appointment in
Samara...) you get a sense of how Pottsville really was once a prominent city
and banking hub. Nowadays, its just Yuengling and that's about it. No, we are
not that far apart... definitely should have a beer soon!
