Yes, both invalidates determinism. Seemingly on different premises, but as Ron 
pointed out, the wave function used to calculate physical trajectories are 
mathematical, so the underlying reasons for both may be identical.

Regarding the MoQ, I think it invalidates determinism by stating that the 
quality event is the basis for reality. It says it's impossible to be a passive 
bystander and just observe reality. Not really sure you can disprove determinism 
using that premise, but it suggests it.
