Hi All,
About Human Rights Day,
Just thought I'd show you this from a BBC report printed Wed, Dec 10:
'For many Chinese petitioners, the only way to complain about local
corruption and abuses happening in their area is to come to the capital to
ask the central government for help.
Their plight is frequently ignored by Chinese media, but on Monday the
state-controlled Beijing News published a report admitting that officials in
the city of Xintai had abducted citizens who had lodged petitions, and sent
them to mental hospitals'.
Andre:
This is what makes my heart bleed!(because I am hearing stories like this
almost every day) and not wanting to jump ahead of Bodvar's SOL argument:
who or what checks the intellectual level? Is it only the 'oversight' of
dynamic quality that is taking place here, or is it more fundamental than
this?
I think this is yet another example of the fact that the intellectual level
is inseperable from its parent level and SHOULD listen to and be molded/be
informed by it.
Only when it comes to 'dominating' the social level it should do so informed
and responsive to DQ: i.e THE GOOD.
For what it's worth
Andre
