The activity of intellection is dynamic within the
individual and as witnessed by the exchanges
realized within this (medium of multiple
abstractions that connects us all from around the
world) forum. The activity of intellection is also
carried out between us in collaboration.
The past fruits of this quality-of-activity exists both
in the books, tapes, disks, 'collected physical sets';
and in the theories, patterns, general knowledge,
'collected memory', as the static accretion of intellect
that is accumulated beyond the individual and not
generally subject to extinction with the loss of any
single individual.
So, like with the other levels, what is 'past' is more
Static and what is 'present' to: change, reactivity,
motion, creativity...entropy...is where the more
Dynamic finds expression.
Existence in the MoQ seems to have about it a sense
that has an allegory in the martial arts.
Before a student can be effective the lesson of proper
alignment needs to be understood. (at first statically and
later dynamically) Exercises and motion aim to show
that the ankle must support the knee, which must
support the hip, which must support the spine in alignment,
which must support the shoulder, elbow, wrist etc.
Any movement or action without this results in ineffectual
or self-damaging result.
At first, to the student this sounds very stiff and mechanical,
but the lesson, once learned, practiced and sufficiently
mastered, results in motion that is akin to flight or dance.
Many of us have had surgery, dislocations, broken bones
and impressive bruising, when we lost track of alignment.
So, too, in MoQ terms the dynamic "alignment" of physical
in support of biological, in support of social, in support of
intellectual can gain a range of dynamic existence.
Okay, as with everything, easier said than done, but I know
the days when it happens; I spent effortless hours writing,
or working at what I have to accomplish.
thanks--mel
