May Yahweh bless you and keep you!
May Yahweh let  his face shine on you, and be gracious to you!
May Yahweh look kindly on you, and give you his peace!  (Num. 6:24-26)

Marsha,

Myth and interpretation of myth are images that determine behavior. If an interpretaton leads to violence -- terrorism, exploitation and oppression, bombing of Iraq, instigation of regional wars, trafficking of women and children, etc, then it can be said, must be said,  the interpretation is of lowest quality. Evil, wrong, incorrect -- to use other ethical terms. So contextualization and interpretation are open to debate.  And we should debate. Who knows, interpreations may change or junked for others of high quality. Thus the phenomenon of conversions. By the way, I think I am not a ultra liberal relativist.
