have had a mutual-simultaneous revelation that their attention was "shared"
with another on some object, and this preceded by a split-second the sound
(that both would later understand as the object) was produced.

Yes and as Tomasello notes even in the present day some of our earliest
developmental milestones involve the understanding of shared attention.
Others have noted the early emergence in individuals of social emotions like
pride and shame. These are biological processes that result from social
processes. We come into the world as the product of social exchange,
biologically prepared to participate in social interaction.
