As integral philosopher Ken Wilber (are you, is the group, familiar with him?) would say: Honor what should be honored; transcend and include. I think what should be honored (their patterns of highest quality?) are included and raised to hiugher quality in the inclusive myth called the Jesus Story. For example, Jesus was/is definitely against exploitation of women (and in Matt. 15:26-27, Jesus dod not insult the woman by alluding to "dogs/pets.", according toexegetes). T think Marsha would fall in love with Jesus considering the way he treated women. And junk (probably) Paul the apostle, and doctrines of whatver myth/religion that advocate oppression and exploitation and discrimination based on code, creed, cult, race, gender. My personal stand, of course. Perhaps a more inclusive myth will be "invented by DQ?

May Yahweh bless you and keep you!
May Yahweh let his face shine on you, and be gracious to you!
May Yahweh look kindly on you, and give you his peace! (Num. 6:24-26)

Good Yule to you Paco, hopefully at this time of the Solstice (celebrated by
countless cultural traditions in a myriad of dress) you find the warmth of
family and friends.
Since your "theist" spin on the MOQ (if only Platt could be so honest, and Ham
so forthcoming) is centered around the Occidental myths, let me ask, would you
say that White Buffalo Calf Woman, Avaloketeshvara, Isis/Osiris, Odin (to name
just a few) are also equally substitutable in your prose? Or is the "Quality
made flesh" an actual-literal event that occurred for the Jews but for no other
group?
To restate, are you suggesting a Campbellian-like mythological configuration to
the MOQ, or are you suggesting that the "Christians" alone got it right?
