As I see the word faith used, it is an intellectual pattern that 
includes permission to believe things and claim unwarranted certainty 
about things that don't have intellectual quality. It is the idea that 
it is even a virtue to believe things that don't have intellectual 
quality and be stubbornly static about it. Pirsig takes the pragmatic 
perspective on truth, it is that which is good by way of belief. 
Therefore, faith amounts to believing things that aren't good to 
believe. In short, in the MOQ, faith is immoral.
