[MD] school kills creativity

Thanks for the post.  I've added it to the webpage I shared here about my

The video inspired me to reread and edit the essay at the site above as
well.

As an update to the contents of that site, I have experienced intimidation
and threats this year in response to the strategies that I have been using
to better engage students in their learning process by focusing on quality.

My response: I've gone deeper into the experiments, based on recommendations
from our quality meetings in the classroom last year, with a multi-class
unit where students peer taught grammar using games.

It hasn't necessarily been easy to continue moving forward in this
direction, but, to reflect some of the recent discussions on this list, an
important component of my efforts is a daily meditation and yoga practice to
keep my mind clear and open to all of the factors and possibilities of what
we are doing in my classroom.

Thanks to the folks on this list and all the postings.  They are a source of
support.  Reminds me of the Einstein quote that I saw here recently about a
community of like-minded people providing support for each other.
