SOM did not stop with Aristotle, as the 4th. level (in a MOQ
retrospect) it grew more and more formidable like all levels have before it
and with the late twentieth century it reached a
complexity that spawned the MOQ, which isn't a new level but
the metaphysics that ordered excistence along the
Dynamic/Static line and - most important - adopted the SOM as
its own intellectual level.

Hi Bo and all,
Your vision and conclusion are breathtaking. Thank You!!
I agree SOM did not stop with Aristotle. Thomas Aquinas commented on
Aristotle¹s METAPHYSICS, and that view of metaphysics was the standard in
medieval times. I was taught in 1961 about Aquinas¹ theory of knowledge
(taken from Aristotle) based on ABSTRACTION. INTENTIONAL EXISTENCE according
to Aquinas-Aristotle provided a way to embody ideas in substance instead of
the world of ideas of Plato.
Pirsig was a breath of fresh air with QUALITY! His difficulty with the
professor in Chicago set off ringing bells. To have a place to stand to
view SOL as composed of SOM indicates another level to view in evolution.
I think of universes, galaxies, the milky-way, sun, planet, moon, and
wonder that organic life on earth with proprietary awareness is evolving
against the grain. Another way to view SOL!
