Thanks Ron,
I think Paz's poems and essays are as you state 'beautiful and
profound'. The paragraph below seems so similar to Lila's comments
in Chapter 14, that I was stunned. I shouldn't have been, though, I
recognized Lila's words the first time I heard them.
There was also a section in 'In Light of India', on time that was
very interesting. It seems that the Western/modernity conception of
time is not held universally. And there's a suggestion that there's
a link between time & religion. All very, very interesting!!!
I've ordered another Paz book, 'The Double Flame: Love and
Eroticism'. That should be interesting too. Love is not a topic
that get much attention on this forum.
