Aristotle's.  The entry refers to Pirsig's use of arete as a synonym for
Quality.

Ron:
One of which is superiority and dominance, which you feel is what Pirsig
meant not balance.
power to dominate or defeat. Correct? This is better-ness, not balance.


Thusly atheism is moral. 


Lying, cheating stealing and killing is moral
If done for profit, gain and superiority.
