Trying to separate human nature from culture is like trying to

Separate the physical subatomic particle from the field

 

Primitive people are imprisoned, just as we are, in a

Universe of disclosure- a language game or form of life

Or paradigm, which it is argued, cannot criticize itself 

Because it provides the only tools of criticism.

 

Gestalt psychologists stress

how we tend to perceive well defined patterns and wholes which are not 

really there, by integrating heterogeneous cues and filling in

contours."
