I don't know how you ever got that idea.  I even defended you saying that you probably didn't mean it to be taken the way Ron took it.

I did think that it was a lame response to say "screw reason" rather than give your reasons for disagreeing with Sam Harris' arguments against accepting the label. I have mixed feelings on the issue myself and was sincerely interested in what you thought. As I said, the speech I posted was very contraversial in the atheist community. Most people don't agree with him and he admits that he could be wrong. maybe we do need a label right now to move forward to a time where such a label is as crazy as calling yourself a non-Zues-worshipper.
