Hello SA
Well, to keep is simple - Quality for the biological level is life. Quality
for the social level is social structures. They may come in conflict. And
they do.
Symbol manipulation is never in conflict with anything, but may be in
service of any level. The pursuit of knowledge may be in conflict with, most
notably, the social level, and perhaps even the biological level.
Different PoV values different things. They must to be identified as
distinct patterns of value, and thus Symbol manipulation can't constitute
the fundamental nature of a PoV.
