Hi Ron,
I'm glad to see you vigorously supporting American cultural values,
especially free market capitalism and social/intellect freedom. I couldn't
agree with you more. Our argument, if any, is over the meaning and practice
of multiculturalism. My view is well expressed in Wikipedia under
"Opposition to multiculturalism" in the U.S:
"In the United States especially, multiculturalism became associated
with political
correctness <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Political_correctness> and with
the rise of ethnic identity
politics<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Identity_politics>.
In the 1980s and 1990s many criticisms were expressed, from both the left
and right. Criticisms come from a wide variety of perspectives, but
predominantly from the perspective of liberal
individualism<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberalism>,
from American conservatives
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conservatism>concerned about values, and
from a national unity perspective."
Regards,
Platt
