[MD] Quality sacrificed to equality

Arlo, Matt and DMB (who asked Huh?)

I was simply joining up the dots between the two threads. The
expression of qualities of individuals (in implicit comparison to
others) - being relevant to "debate" breaking down.

(Matt doesn't need my sympathy DMB, I was just looking to encourage
constructive ongoing dialogue.)
