I do regard myself to be a socialist, you are right there.
The socialism i have in mind results from intellectual considerations and not a blind pandering to celebrity status, as was the case with Hitler for example; his rule was pure theatre - his rallies and speeches carefully staged and organised to motivate a unifying allegiance.

The socialism i have in mind is more gentle than that - the socialism of the British ex-parliamentarian Tony Benn may give you an indication.
