To All:
More from my collection of random thoughts - perhaps a few of interest:
When I speak of myself I am simultaneously subject/ object - subject being
"I" and object being the "self" I refer to. Ex: "I´m hungry."
To assert "Nothing is certain" is as self-refuting as asserting "Language
doesn´t exist."
Reality that created the mind is by the mind created.
Every attempt to deny a single truth evokes a single truth. Every attempt
to deny a moral judgment evokes a moral judgment.
We cannot see that which sees.
Language is simultaneously subject and object, scratches and sounds, means
and meanings.
Richard Dawkins is a leading spokesperson of a purposeless existence and
the meaninglessness of life. That we writes books filled with purpose and
meaning is an irony that apparently escapes him.
At the bottom of physics, the Uncertainty Principle. At the bottom of
logic, the Incompleteness Theorem.
We depend on others for being separate.
We anticipate death, but when it happens we won´t know it.
There´s nothing objective about the subject/object division.
We divide experience, forget we´ve divided it, then forget we´ve forgotten
it.
To others you are just an experience.
Idealism says "It´s all in the mind." So I ask the idealist, "What´s the
mind in?"
By giving up and letting go, DQ is free to explore to make things better.
We see the world as we are educated to see it in order to survive in the
group we depend on for survival.
Some believe that the solution to racism is to treat people differently
based on color.
Values precede facts because values determine where to focus to uncover
facts.
All scientific knowledge is subjective knowledge because it´s based on
experience.
The toughest battle you will ever have is to be yourself against the
demands of others to be like them or to do something for them.
Regards,
Platt
