    "The far away and the invisible were ipso facto
'not there'.

Jorge: that's interesting. According to Anne
Cauquelin's "L'Invention du paysage" the Greeks did
not have a word for landscape either. Not just the
word was missing but the idea of landscape was absent.
Makes sense in the light of Campbell's observation
that "The far away was 'not there'".
