DM: My point, to use your language, is that inorganic patterns are neither 
all SQ or DQ
but a combination of both, hence there is no great divide with organic 
patterns,
if you say there are aspects to human beings that rocks don't have like 
language
who would disagree but after you list such things have you listed everything 
we
mean by consciousness and does that leave anything in common with rocks?
This is an extreme point about what we do and do not know I admit but 
without
this admission we may fail to see how life & consciousness is possible for 
inorganic patterns
as it clearly is when brought into certain patterns that realise new 
possibilities.
