Marsha,
Have not seen it yet, does it live up to expectations?
I lived a similar experience where I lived off the land
For about 2 months, hard work and the solitariness was
Challenging. I witnessed many a mystical magical moment
But what I came away with was the sense of importance of 
relationships with other People oddly enough. All those
beautiful experiences mean more when you can share them
with someone.

I do have to say also that my sense of self diminished
Quite a bit during that experience, the first few weeks
I talked to myself constantly but at the end I rarely spoke
At all (save to curse) I kept a journal at first then
Abandoned it about the same time.

What was impressed upon me was how
We survive by the mercy of others.
I got really sick out there and I 
made it Back just in time. If not
for the care of a few close friends
I might still be out there, my skull a nice
Home for chipmunks.
