Hi Marsha,

I saw the movie a couple weeks ago. I had been aware of the story from  
hearing about Krakauer's book. I think it is a fascinating story and a  
well-done beautiful movie, but I don't relate to Chris's desire to live  
the way he did. In fact, I think it was misguided to think that living  
an authentic life means to go it alone. At the end of the movie he  
writes that despite all his amazing experiences, it doesn't mean  
anything without someone to share it with. How tragic for him to have  
to find out the way he did.

How did it wake you up?
