Thanks for pointing this out, Ham. The scientific world view tends to focus on
systems and numbers while ignoring the individuals that comprise the system.
Thus we see the emphasis on groups in nearly all walks of life -- religious,
economic, political -- because science has shown the emphasis to be successful.
Electrons behave in a certain mathematical way. Who cares about one electron?
What gets lost in the process are individuals, to the detriment of human individual
freedom you so eloquently champion. 

This phenomena of "groupthink" was described in Lila where it was referred to
as the "Giant."
