Well that goes back to your original contention that purpose is 
located in your head. Purpose is only relevant to the purposeful agent.

I'd say (maybe picking nits) "purpose is relative".

I was confusing this with activities of the invisible hand which 
suggests the trajectory of individual agents by the pattern exhibited 
by lots of them.

"Purpose" is actively constructed in the moment. It is woven from the 
threads we see as time recedes from our eyes.

Does this make teleology probabilistic as well? my, my.

I would not expect any less from a nihilistic, collectivistic, 
totalitarian, fascist, postmodern relativist.
