I found it very interesting & encouraging.
I do think there's a place for standardized testing (to have a base to measure
students in different classes/schools) & standardized curriculum (so that
students have some common background).
Craig

Craig, I agree that students should have common goals. There is research against tracking systems which divide students into groups based on supposed ability, and for a common curriculum with little variation. For that information, please see "School Restructuring" at:

Hello Otto, welcome to MoQ_Discuss.

I finally got around to reading about the work that you do with your
students. It looks very interesting and it seems that you have your students
active in making decisions, not only about their own learning
environment but also taking responsibility for their own learning.
You and your students are quite fortunate. Saving and cherishing the Quality
children naturally sense (more easily than adults) cannot start at an early
enough age. I do not mean this in a condescending way. I am working at a
college as a development worker/ English teacher on educational reform and
through your example and activities realise how much Quality in my
students has been destroyed and how much work needs to be done here.

Kind regards

Andre
Thank you for the welcome, Andre, and for the kind words.

The MOQ states that groups of people working together are better able to respond to Quality than individuals, and another researcher wrote that students motivate themselves towards Quality, so I agree that a collaborative environment allows students to find their path better than more traditional ones.
