How can anyone say that Ideology is either good or bad without
identifying or defining it?

[Arlo]
The problem with "ideology" is that it does the same thing to
"thought" that religion does to spirituality. First it presents the
illusion that this one "ideology" has captured the cosmos so
accurately that all others can be summarily dismissed. Second, it
begins to posit that those other "ideologies" are not only "wrong",
but they are "dangerous", evil, and misguided (witness your own
ongoing diatribes against "nihilism" or the constant bemoaning of
that evil "Marxism" and the world-ending, civilization-destroying,
humanity-catastrophic ends that come from those "ologies"... which
happily your "ology" will save us all from).

[Ham]
Such blanket labeling of methods and systems out of context as "good"
or "bad" seems simplistic to me.

[Arlo]
And yet you do it all the time...
