[MD] patterns revisited

So my idea is that patterns are conceptual (mental activity), and, in 
the case of inorganic, NOT the external natural phenomenon.  The 
patterns refers to the external natural phenomenon, but IS NOT the 
external natural phenomenon.

    I find the patterns are external, but are not separate, they are connected, but 
they are also internal.  I'm not going to use internal or external any further or 
else lines of delineation may confuse what I'm saying.
    Patterns are mental, but I also find patterns to be value.  The patterns 
in a tree are influenced by the sun and the source of water, these are 
main influencers.  Thus, the roots and thereby the tree may pattern its' trunk and 
roots towards the water more.  Same if a clearer source of sunlight is in a nearby 
clearing.  This is not a mental pattern.  This is an organic pattern.  The 
tree is valuing sun and water and grows accordingly, values accordingly.  With 
patterns structured that biology class would then intellectually teach somebody 
about in more detail or art class would then intellectually teach somebody about 
in more detail or somebody being artistic would intellectually connect with 
on their own without the teacher.  This isn't about the teacher or who is taught or not.
    Marsha, are you saying all is mental and then all these patterns emerge out of this 
mental substratum into organic, society, etc... until a particularly patterned creature 
comes along and can pick up on and perceive and internally noticed this mental 
substratum that is everywhere?
