[MD] FYI: microalgae-derived renewable diesel

Greetings,

Now is this science?  I'd say so.  And it is wonderful!  I love 
science!  And this 'renewable diesel' may represent something which 
may help save our planetary butts.  Hurray!  But there are also 
massive failures.  I keep thinking about polluting the planet with 
seeds that produce sterile plants with seeds that do not 
reproduce.  This is insanity for profit.  There is no reason I can 
find that science should be worshiped.  Nice tool.  (Although I love 
the photos taken from the Hubble Telescope. -  They take my breath away.)

Science does not even belong in the same air as philosophy.   Too 
much science has been sold to the Pentagon, or a failing WallStreet, 
or pathetically acquiescing to religion.  At least in philosophy the 
questions remain a tiny bit open.  And it is better to have Value 
looking down on science, than to have Science looking down at the value.

As far as I am concerned, dmb has the better attitude.

You will please forgive me for using the words 'science' and 
'philosophy', for to do so is overgeneralizing.  You get my drift, 
though, right?

To restate my conclusion, it's better to have Value looking down on 
science, than to have Science looking down at the value.

Am I wrong?
