Exactly. We value continuity and consistency across time. This is
strong, learned social value.

what we are calling continuity they were calling form.
What is continuity and consistency but form?
A collection of continuity and consistency might be seen
as "value", and "value" might be seen as form.
They were both concerned with identity
That which is continuous and consistent
and that which is continuous and consistent
is measurable.
But Pirsig isn't concerned with identity,
he is concerned with the original concept
That which is continuous and consistent
in flux and how this concept turned into
a collection of assumptions we know as SOM
