Ian,

This is rather harsh to say, but in my opinion if we don't take care of this
planet, we do not deserve an escape route.  Well, maybe only Dick Cheney
deserves an escape route.

Those things are connected Marsha.

Space travel, piles of garbage and asteroids. If we don't learn to
protect our current planet better soon - we may need an escape route.
