Jan,
Now you're making me laugh!!! I've heard worse, like picture yourself and
your 'loveling' face to face tied together and left alone in a room for a
few days.
And I've been married twice, I know the score on 'death by expectations'.
I've been safely living in a cave for some nine years now. I have painting
and my books to keep me warm, and my computer and by extension some very
tolerant MoQers, and, of course, my iPod. But you were correct, I do
sometimes lust for a friend to talk with.
Marsha

Dear Marsha
Understanding Quality as an event.
Events imply the existence of time as there are a state before and a
different after the change. An event = change.
What was it that was changed?
How was it changed?
Was it better before or after?
Take for example the first kiss between two lovelings.
What is changed? Their mutual library of experiences performed by their
physical bodies in one place and in one moment and their experience from
kissing each other is enlarged from zero to one.
How was it changed? Wet lips opened, tounges chrashing together, their
saliva is now mixed up, germs are growing unless they aren't using some
virtual dating apparatus.
Was it better before or after? That depends on their emotional
preferences. Good feeling for both of them will better the chance for
another kiss, 25% chance. Bad feeling for both will probably end the
relation, 25% chance. Mixed feelings can lead to a disaster 50% chance.
75% chance that it won't work.
No wonder we have so many hits about unfulfilled expectations from Love.
