The Zen Archer comment is a bit cryptic, however, since the point of such archery is not to hit the target so much as use the process as a form of meditation. Some friends of mine have been taking lessons for a couple years and they tell me that hitting or not hitting the target is quite beside the point. So I really don't know how much "love" was involved there. 

I suppose everybody already knows how I feel about Platt's view. Ordinary disagreements are fun and interesting but Platt just makes me cringe.
