If I remember correctly the missing part has something to do with the
meeting between Lila and her New York friends after Phaedrus had left. Good
riddance!  That part of LILA always seemed insincere, wrong.

Yes, I had purchased the 10-tape edition quite a long time ago.  Waited and
waited for a cd edition, but finally I became impatient.  XITEL IMPORT
DELUXE (Record From Your Stereo To Your Computer) worked very well. It is
very disappointing that a cd edition has not been made available.  I even
wrote to Audible.com requesting a mp3 version.  I got a nice response, but
nothing more than 'it will be considered'.  

It will be my pleasure (no cost).  I'll let you know when I mail it.

p.s.  There is a little bit missing from the tapes.  I always wondered if it
was a revision or something else.  Somewhere I have the precise location of
the missing parts written down.

That would be awesome! Did you convert it from the tapes? I've seen  
used tapes for sale, but not CDs and I'm not tech-savvy enough to  
convert them myself.
