[MD] On dialectic before knowledge

Thats fine,

I'm surprised how easy the reading is

I read Plato  in art school, I did'nt get it,

sounded like god talking forever from a mountain

but now that I understand the writing style and I have
atlot more philosophic experience

it's quite an enjoyable read

almost like an intellectual soap opera

it's like reading some of the discussions here.

It seems to me

that too often people tend not to spend the time reading a work
and settle for someone elses opinion of it, and often I find by
learning more about philosophy it alters my understanding
of a particular work, so I tend to do alot of re-reading.

Like Dmbs interpetation of Hume, I thought he was a british empriricist
I took him as a predessor of logical positivism

so Dave Hume is next on my list of re-reads.

Sorry Ron, it was just an example of my kind of dialectic.  I'm through with
Plato.  He and I are sooo over.

Alice: But I don't want to go among mad people.

The Cat: Oh, you can't help that. We're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad.

Alice: How do you know I'm mad?

The Cat: You must be. Or you wouldn't have come here.

Alice: And how do you know that you're mad?

The Cat: To begin with, a dog's not mad. You grant that?

Alice: I suppose so,

The Cat: Well, then, you see, a dog growls when it's angry, and wags its
tail when it's pleased. Now I growl when I'm pleased, and wag my tail when
I'm angry. Therefore I'm mad.
