Except the intellectually savy in America never went along with the morally
challenged intellectual elites in the western academy who admired Uncle Joe in
Russia and Mussolini in Italty. With the elections of Eisenhower, Reagan and
Bush, the trend towards authoritarianism which has always appealed to
Roosevelt-type intellectuals was stopped in its tracks. Now, however, free
speech and other individual rights are again being threatened by incipient
fascists in the Obama administration. Its attack on the CIA shows it taking
biology's side against society. It's attempt to determine who lives and who
dies by taking over  health care shows a similar predisposition. The next few
months will tell the story.

John, just wondering if you're planning on chastising Platt for yet another
moronic and, to be frank, embarrassing "contribution" to the forum. I mean, now
that the evil perfesser is no longer among us, is this the sort of
anti-intellectual nonsense and talk-radio squalking we are going to let pass
here? Or now that we've driven off the evil perfesser, are we hoisting
embracing this sort of perverse drivel? (To borrow one of DMB's terms)

You berated DMB for his "tone of 'evil right wing conspiracy'" saying it "seems
to me a bit like spreading suspicious paranoia". 

And that was because he objected to, as he saw it, was a gross
oversimplification of three hours of content that addressed neither the points
of the documentary nor their importance. OK. I like Craig, I don't think he was
deliberately trying to con anyone. His posts are always a model of brevity. But
I do think DMB had a fair point. Nonetheless, rather than responding to that,
you chose to call DMB out for "paranoiac" conspiracy rhetoric.

So I read Platt's latest display of zero brain-cell thinking in words, and I
wonder... if DMB was guilty of paranoid conspiracy rhetoric, Platt has taken
this to moronic heights DMB could only see if he climbed Mt. Everest.

So. Ding dong, the evil perfesser is dead. Now what do we do with the class
fool?
