I think we can put the myth of "right-wing fear-mongers" to rest. 

Millions of illegal aliens, billions of dollars in bail-outs, trillion 
dollar deficits, forcible taxation to pay for others' autos, housing 
& health care.  If anything the damage has been UNDER-estimated, 

not OVER-estimated.

I think this way of putting it is very misleading--it obscures all the 
interesting questions.  Paying taxes is not like contributing to 
charities.  I can choose to whom & how much I pay to the latter 

but not the former.
