[MD] The American Ruling Class

Ok, here's a proposition for you guys, the American Ruling Class, as it has
evolved, is oriented toward social networking. The film really makes this
point. You have to have some intellect to get into harvard or yale, but
more than brains you need connections (GW Bush living prooof) and once you
are there, more than brains it is the connections you make, the impressions
you make upon the social circles already in place that determine your spot
in the Ruling Class Hierarchy.

Now, the result of this is an MoQ-immorality because intellectual excellence
is subordinated to social excellence in this final equation. Loyalty to
group standards (ala Rigel) is put above everything. Thus the
intellegentsia in place at Goldman Sachs, et al, is incapable of
intellectually analyzing over-exuberant bubble economies based upon domino
towering derivative fortunes. Everybody is pre-selected to follow the herd.

Long term effect? Stand and watch the capitalistic towers crumble and
fall.

Neener- neener.
