Mel:
I may be wrong, but in such a tao-istic formulation of the old
testament sensibility, it makes theistic, a theistic, anti-theistic
all taking aim at a target that isn't there. The target that can be
hit is not the true target.
Andre:
Right on Mel, but I sense that part of the concern is also that individuals
and groups do good, but also horrible things to other groups and individuals
IN THE NAME OF (as added, absolute justification).
I may be wrong but I have never heard of a case where 'in the name of ' a,
say, Lao Tsu or Buddha a person has acted 'good' or 'bad'. (please
understand I am talking about crusades, proselytising, flying planes in
buildings, murder etc.)
